News: Ramírez-Gonzalez Studio, PSC at The Green Professional Day

As part of a series of speakers at the first Green Professional Day organized by the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE), Ramírez-González Studio architecture firm offers a talk about “How does My Green Job Improves the Business and the Environment.”

As part of the conference, architect Emmanuel Ramírez, AIA talk about the firm’s recent projects and how its ecological strategies for design differentiate the firm’s relationship with new clients from other architecture firms. At the other hand, Wilfredo Mendez, AIT speaks about the firm’s research foundations. Part of the examples includes his thesis on the biotectonic efficiency as a novel concept which brings inspiration for ecology new parameters.

The SHPE from the University of Puerto Rico in Mayaguez promotes this initiative because of the recent interest for environmental affairs in Puerto Rico. The Green Professional Day was held on Saturday, February 11, 2012 and its workshops and conferences were given to students from fields as technology, math, science, biotechnology and engineering.
